Director of Fighter Development & Strategic Partnerships
Master Charles Panoyan
Kukkiwon-Credentialed Taekwondo Master
Master Charles Panoyan is a lifelong martial artist, master instructor, competitor, coach, academy founder and athlete-development specialist whose career spans traditional martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, fitness, conditioning and high-performance fighter development.
A Kukkiwon-credentialed Taekwondo Master, Charles has trained extensively across multiple martial-arts disciplines throughout his career. His background includes black-belt-level training in Taekwondo, Kempo, Shotokan Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Hapkido, Goju-Ryu Karate, Judo and Capoeira, along with extensive experience in Muay Thai. His documented Taekwondo credentials include a 4th Dan Black Belt (Master) certification dating to 2006, followed by subsequent Kukkiwon advancement later in his career.
Charles's experience extends far beyond traditional martial-arts instruction. Over decades as a competitor, coach, gym owner and program developer, he has worked inside the environments where fighters are actually built — from youth and amateur development through advanced competition and professional MMA.
The Blackzilians
A defining chapter of Charles's career has been his involvement with the Blackzilians, one of South Florida's most recognizable professional MMA teams and training environments. Charles is identified publicly as a founder / part owner of the Blackzilian Performance Institute, while independent combat-sports database Tapology lists him as a Blackzilians co-owner. The Blackzilians environment has included UFC champions, world-class coaches and professional fighters across multiple combat disciplines.
That experience placed Charles inside the professional-fighter ecosystem — not simply as a martial-arts instructor, but as an academy operator, coach, athlete developer and relationship builder working alongside high-level combat-sports talent.
An especially important relationship throughout that work has been Charles's longstanding collaboration with Rashad Evans, UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Charles and Evans have worked within the Blackzilians / Velocity training ecosystem, and Velocity Martial Arts currently identifies Evans as part of its coaching team alongside Charles.
That relationship is particularly relevant to Remedy Combat Systems because it reflects Charles's ability to bridge traditional martial arts, professional MMA, elite fighters, coaches, gyms and the broader combat-sports community.
Academy & Athlete Development
Charles has founded, owned or operated multiple martial-arts and combat-sports organizations, including American Top Team Pompano, American Top Team Boca Raton, Velocity Martial Arts Pompano, Velocity Martial Arts Boca Raton and the Blackzilian Performance Institute.
Across those organizations, he has developed training programs, mentored instructors, cultivated fighter and coaching relationships and helped build high-performance environments centered around technical development, conditioning, discipline, resilience and competitive preparation.
Today, Charles continues to oversee martial-arts instruction, fitness programming, athlete development, instructor development and high-level combat-sports training through Velocity Martial Arts, whose coaching platform brings together Charles, Rashad Evans and other elite combat-sports athletes and instructors.
Role Within Remedy Combat Systems
At Remedy Combat Systems, Charles serves as Director of Fighter Development & Strategic Partnerships, providing a critical connection between Remedy's physician-led performance platform and the combat-sports world.
His value to Remedy extends well beyond his martial-arts credentials. Charles brings decades of fighter-development experience and an established network of fighters, coaches, gym owners, martial-arts organizations and combat-sports relationships.
Within Remedy Combat, Charles focuses on fighter development, athlete recruitment, gym and team relationships, strategic partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, apparel initiatives and combat-sports integration. He also provides an experienced fighter-and-coach perspective as Remedy continues developing its 12-week Fight Camp Protocol and broader Fighter Performance Systems.
Medicine understands the body. Coaches understand the fight. Charles understands the world connecting the two.
His role helps ensure that Remedy Combat Systems isn't a healthcare company attempting to enter combat sports. It is a fighter-performance platform being developed with leadership that has spent decades inside the martial-arts and professional MMA ecosystem.
The coach builds the fighter. Remedy builds the performance system around them.
